Meet the Doctor

“I love to see people smile! That’s what we do—make smiles all day!” – Dr. Sweet

Originally from North Syracuse, New York, Dr. Joseph A. Sweet earned his Bachelor of Science at the School of Information Studies (ischool) at Syracuse University. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and his Post-Doctoral Certificate in Orthodontics from the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Sweet is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Eastman institute for Oral Health University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry. He enjoys interacting in an academic environment and sharing his knowledge and experiences with the residents in training.

He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, New York State Dental Association, and the Onondaga County Dental Society.

Dr. Sweet currently resides in Jamesville with his wife Stacey.
